TXSNOW · Program guide
Three age groups. One child at a time.
Kids Master Program (KM) is TXSNOW’s one-to-one ski and snowboard program for children aged 1–11. Lessons are organized into three age groups based on children’s developmental stages. Instructor qualifications are reviewed separately for each age group.
Shorter attention spans, with a focus on sensory exploration and basic movement.
Stamina, basic movement control and independence are gradually developing.
Logical understanding, stamina and attention are becoming stronger.
KM lessons are offered exclusively one-to-one.
Combine age-appropriate modules totalling at least two hours to book an instructor’s time in advance.
Instructors must pass the experience review, current-season training and assessment for the relevant age group.
Parents may request a higher or lower age group to suit their child’s needs, within safety and compliance limits.
A child may enter the next age group up to one year early. For example, a four-year-old with noticeably advanced stamina and skills who can manage a longer skills lesson may take the Little Heroes lesson for ages 5–7, following confirmation before the lesson.
A child may move to a younger age group for a shorter skills-teaching period. For example, an eight-year-old with limited stamina may choose the Little Heroes option in the 2H Hassle-Free Series: 90 minutes of KM instruction plus 30 minutes of Snow Buddy Time, totalling two hours.
An instructor or customer service must confirm any age-group adjustment with the parent before the lesson and help them purchase the appropriate option.
Two hours, with the balance of skills instruction and Snow Buddy Time adapted to each age group.

We begin with interest, laying the foundation for a lasting love of the sport and future skill development. Instructors adapt the lesson to the child’s state and, within safe and age-appropriate limits, involve the child in choosing what to learn, how to learn and for how long.
Younger or more reserved children may need more time to feel safe and become interested. If discomfort, tiredness or another unexpected situation makes a child clearly unwilling to continue skills instruction, the instructor does not need to insist simply because the parent has paid.
The instructor may turn the remaining lesson time into Snow Buddy Time without obtaining the guardian’s approval in advance. Activities may include walks in the snow, hide-and-seek, snow play, snowball games, indoor stories about skiing or snowboarding, getting familiar with equipment, or an indoor rest. Interest and emotional comfort come first. When the child is willing and enjoying themselves, gentle instruction in stance, balance or a wedge-ready position can be woven in.
After the lesson, tell parents in the lesson group chat if the session was changed to Snow Buddy Time. If the child insists on going home or finding their parent, contact the parent to confirm whether to end the lesson. Post-lesson feedback should review interest and safety, and suggest the next safe goal and suitable terrain.
Experience is counted separately for each age group an instructor applies to teach. The instructor must meet one of the experience pathways for that group, complete the current season’s training and assessment, and pass the review before becoming a KM-certified instructor for that age group.
